Cajun-Indonesian Mash-Up

With a spirit of creativity and a passion for community, Chris Reed offers a mash-up based on his popular Indonesian Rijstaffel pop-up. From over ten years of catering and hosting intimate, authentic dinners, Reed brings his love of family to Politan Row with Bumbu Roux: an exploration of Indonesian dishes viewed through the lens of Cajun cuisine inspired by Reed’s Louisiana father and Indonesian mother. As Chris states, “We take ‘mom and pop’ very literally,” down to the name that references the foundations of both cuisines.

Look forward to traditional Indonesian dishes like beef rendang side-by-side with classic Cajun fare like seafood gumbo, with Reed’s one-of-a-kind mash-ups like sambal shrimp and grits bringing it home.
