Israeli Kitchen and Hummus Bar

Husband and wife duo, Yosi and Aviva Alhadif specialize in creating beautiful, shareable dishes with their authentic Israeli hummus bar concept LaShuk Street Food. Yosi and Aviva met at a wedding in Israel and, later, Aviva moved to Israel to pursue a career after graduating from Michigan State's School of Hospitality Business. Eventually the couple moved to the US where, after graduating from the French Pastry School of Chicago, Yosi interned under Michael Solomonov at his famed restaurant Zahav in Philadelphia.

Since then he has honed his talents at Mindy’s Hot Chocolate, Somerset, and Princi. Still, Yosi missed the Israeli street food that he grew up with, so he placed his dedication and experience into perfecting hummus to share with all— first at Wicker Park Farmers Market and now at Politan Row Chicago. Together, the couple offers fresh, homemade spins on various salatim, hummus combinations, baklava and more.
